Description
I am a digital print artist and filmmaker. Postmodern critical issues involving authorship, appropriation, and authenticity; originality, meaning, and identity are the motivating forces that drive my work. There is a well-defined art-historical content to much of my work. My film/video work is concerned with issues of temporality, structure, and the discrediting of the narrative form.
Background
My work has appeared in one-person shows at the Colfax Campus Galleries, Glance Gallery, Another Book Store, and The Spurious Fugitive, all in South Bend. I have also shown in regional competitions and group shows at the Midwest Museum of American Art in Elkhart, IN; the Art and Social Justice shows at the Colfax Campus Galleries in South Bend; at the Michiana Annual Art Competition at the Box Factory for the Arts in St. Joseph, MI; and at the Studio Arts Center in South Bend. My video work has been shown at the Dorman Street experimental film series in Indianapolis, and at the South Bend Regional Museum of Art. I teach Film and Creative Writing at the South Bend Regional Museum of Art, and at Studio Arts Center in South Bend.
