| Description |
| My work is mainly driven by emotion. Emotion is bold like color and shapes. Many of my paintings come across as contemporary and abstract while some take a certian impressionistic flare. As a young artist with no training, I have used my own determination to create and recreate over and over again. My stubborness is seen through most paintings. Much of my work contains a single flower or a part of nature in a world of many tones and hues. I have been showcased at a casino as well as sold many paintings. My art is always emotionally inspired, whether it is my emotions or those of others I choose to reflect on canvas. |
| Background |
| I was three years old and my mother gave me a marker, she didn't know the power that the marker gave me. At five years old I could easily draw life like eyes. I grew up as art became my home, my hearth and center of life. Everyone has passion in their life at one point or another but how long do they keep onto that passion? I have held on this long with this passion and this gift. Through out my high school career teachers told me to go the distance with my art. It isn't that I wouldn't listen, but the fact of the matter is; how does a young woman with no money get to that place. At 18 years old, I talked to my father for the first time in my entire life. a month later I pushed college asside for a moment to go live with him and meet my two sisters for the first time. Life in Idaho was such a drastic change but my god, the veiw inspired me. Less than a year later I returned home to indiana and pursued my art. I don't have a college degree yet, but isn't art a way to communicate to you. |
