I have been an artist all my life but have never been able to settle into any one medium. I love it all and accept a new medium as an enjoyable challenge. Most of my current work is done in acrylic or watercolor, and enjoy painting from my own photographs. I am a realist, but also draw with a passion and sometimes develop cartoon-style characters to use as cute, decorative designs for pins and ornaments,etc. I believe that drawing is the basis for good art and I encourage all aspiring artists and experienced ones, as well, to carry a sketchbook with them, wherever they go!

Come and relax and go home with a finished basket. All baskets can be done by beginners. Bring an old towel to class and wear old clothes. The dye can sometimes rub off. The supply fee will cover all needed materials. Try your hand at a rib style basket and make an 8" melon basket. Choice of colors. Instructor: Bev Larson. For ages 18 or older. Class meets Thursday, Feb. 23, 6-9:30 pm. Registration fee: $20. Materials Fee: $15.
